Newbridge Students Celebrate Success

On GCSE Results Day, Year 11 students at The Newbridge School celebrated another commendable set of outcomes, highlighting the continuous progress made by the school.

Alongside the school's overall success, several students achieved impressive individual results. Daisy secured one grade 9, six grade 8s and three grade 7s and will continue her studies at sixth form, taking Mathematics, Geography and Textiles. Etta also celebrated an excellent results day, achieving three grade 9s, two grade 8s and three grade 7s, and is set to study English Literature, History and Religious Studies.

Ava achieved one grade 9, three grade 8s and five grade 7s and will progress to college to study Criminology, English Literature and Psychology. Meanwhile, Eliza's strong results, including a Distinction, two grade 8s and three grade 7s, have also secured her a place at college, where she plans to study Mathematics, Economics and Computer Science with ambitions of pursuing Computer Engineering in the future.

We also celebrated a broad range of post‑16 destinations. Sophie will continue her studies at The Castle Rock School Sixth Form with aspirations of studying Medicine, while Sophia is progressing to college to pursue Musical Theatre. Elsewhere, Edward is preparing to begin an Army Chef Apprenticeship, highlighting the wide variety of pathways being taken by this year's cohort.

Associate Principal, Mick Rowbottom, said: "We are incredibly proud of our students at The Newbridge School for the successes they have had in their GCSE results.

"Their commitment and resilience have led to many personal achievements, and it was a pleasure to celebrate with them on results day.

"Many of our students are moving on to further their education at a range of excellent institutions, including The Castle Rock School, Nottingham College, Stephenson College and Loughborough College, whilst other students have secured apprenticeships.

"We wish all of our students every success in the next stage of their journey and look forward to hearing about what they will go on to achieve in the future."
