Fantastic Fundraising
This autumn, students at The Newbridge School have shown incredible generosity and community spirit, taking part in a range of fundraising events that have made a real difference.Children in Need
In November, students raised an amazing £717.37 through a non‑uniform day, a competitive quiz and a fantastic lunchtime concert. Even though the planned sports activity had to be cancelled due to weather, the enthusiasm never faded.
Movember
Staff and students also supported Movember by raising awareness of men’s mental and physical health. Together they raised £72, helping to spark important conversations across the school.
Supporting LOROS Hospice
Our Christmas fundraising focused once again on LOROS Hospice, a charity that means a great deal to our community. Students took part in our first‑ever Christmas Fun Run, aiming to collectively complete 135 miles, the same distance completed by Radio 2 DJ Sara Cox.
In total, we completed more than 1,000 laps, far beyond our original target!
A special mention goes to Nathan, Annie, Harley, Phil and Oliver for their nonstop determination, and to Mr Hollis, Ms Heatley and Mr Latorre for joining in.
In total, we raised more than £1,200, an incredible amount and one that emphasises the generosity of our school community.
Across all fundraising this term, our students have shown kindness, compassion and a real desire to help others. We are incredibly proud of them.
