An Unforgettable Trip to Paris
Earlier this month, Newbridge students and staff set off for an exciting four‑day cultural trip to Paris, where they enjoyed sightseeing, embarking on new experiences and making lasting memories.Day 1 – Arras & Christmas Markets
The first stop was the beautiful town of Arras, where students explored the Christmas market, sampled chocolat chaud and rode the Ferris wheel.
Later in the afternoon, the group arrived at their accommodation in Paris just in time for le dîner, before settling into their rooms and preparing for the days ahead.
Day 2 – River Cruise, Eiffel Tower & Montmartre
Students enjoyed early‑morning views of the Eiffel Tower from the Trocadéro before taking a River Seine cruise. Many then climbed the Eiffel Tower, completing over 400 steps to the first floor and more than 700 to the second. The day ended with a visit to Sacré Coeur and dinner in Montmartre.
Day 3 – Arc de Triomphe, Champs‑Élysées & the Louvre
After climbing the Arc de Triomphe, students explored the Champs‑Élysées before visiting the Louvre grounds and the Christmas market at Jardins des Tuileries, where they sampled French foods and enjoyed the festive stalls.
Day 4 – Cité Europe & Home
The final day included shopping at Cité Europe before returning home, arriving back at Newbridge at 9:30pm — tired but full of memories.
Throughout the trip, students were polite, curious, brave and supportive of one another. Many tried new foods, climbed iconic landmarks and practised their French. For several, this was their first school trip and even their first time abroad.
A huge thank you to Mrs Billington for organising such a special experience, and to all staff who supported the visit. Our students represented Newbridge brilliantly and we are incredibly proud of them.
